Most of the time I post dumb shit about Zuriick that I am sure is boring to read. Tonight at the Depot in Salt Lake (21 +) the good ole boys, OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW, are playing. They released a new album last month (Tennessee Pusher). We were lucky enough to be in Nashville the night of their release show and caught them at the Ryman Theatre with the Carolina Chocolate drops.

We decided to bring back some of the original colorways we started with in 2005. We have the Ruby and Olive in stock now. We'll also have a few other original colorways for Spring releasing in January.

Kettle was Kettil
Somewhere along the way the spelling changed, but it's the same shoe nonetheless. Our zip boot has been in the making since the summer of 2005 and was released in the spring of 2007. If you like astronauts or just hate tying your shoes the Kettle will do you right. I believe they add one inch to your vertical leap, that's what Shaq-attack claims anyway. I have to take his word for it, cause anyone with a free-throw like that must know what he's talking about.

Nashville, The Black Keys, Old Crow Medicine Show, Deon
and a bottle of Whiskey. Sounds like a perfect way to celebrate a birthday with friends.
Yeah, so we spent a few days in Nashville hanging, drinking and eating at Jack's. If you're ever in Nashville, eat at Jack's, it amazing. We did get sucked in to White Castle at 2 a.m. after seeing Old Crow and bar hopping. That was a mistake we'll never make again. Jalapeno burgers? Bad.
We'd also like to say thanks to a our friends at freshthrills and Trendtrekking.
**Also, don't forget Fleet Foxes are playing on Thursday at In the Venue for those of you in Salt Lake City.

As some of you know, our shoes were caught in customs for just under a month. We have received them and we're shipping every account. Check your local stores late next week for their arrival. U.S. Customs has been taking their time releasing our shipment. We apologize for the delay to those of you who have pre-ordered shoes and to our accounts that have had their orders placed for months. The 28th of May has come and gone and unfortunately we're still awaiting the arrival of our goods. Patrick E. Munger for Zuriick
Meet Patrick. Patrick is a local artist that has been hand dying shoes of his own for the last little while. You can see his work at L.O.S. as well as purchase his work. When we caught wind of what he was doing the first thing that came to mind was "how can we take advantage of this guy"? We contacted him to possibly work with us on doing some custom colorways in a few of our styles. He hand dyes and alters the colors with various processes. He has made some amazing colorways and we're here sharing the first pair. Check out the Beata below. It's been altered to have a wool look with almost a neon yellow insole lining. It's awesome. This shoe is available in a size 11 only and there is only one available. It's for sale in our online store.

Adjö Dave
Last fall we were introduced to our now great friend Dave Fryer. He began interning for Zuriick. Dave is an amazingly talented person. He helped us with designing, shipping and keeping our office alive. Dave is moving to Sweden for a few years to pursue his dreams. Thanks Dave for everything you've done for Zuriick and for sharing your time with us personally. We wish you luck and you've always got a spot here at Zuriick.
