I've been taking trips to the Northwest since I was a kid and the area has always appealed to me. In addition to a great lineup, this liking for the Northwest was a big reason for going to this year's Sasquatch Festival. I'm not typically much of a festival goer, but I occasionally get the itch to brave the masses to see a handful of bands perform. And the people watching is almost just as good as the music itself.
While the festival was a good time, four solid days of partying and the crowds take their toll, so we decided to head further north to the Cascades of Washington to escape for a bit. A lot of people find the weather in this area dreary or depressing. I don't mind it at all, and in fact could see myself living there someday.
